Jim Servis commenced with Temples in 1970 carting poultry feed out of the Ingham’s feed mill in Wanneroo. In 2015 Jim celebrated 45 years in the same role with the same company. He has seen a massive change in the vehicles and types of trailers used during this time. Jim is currently the longest serving employee with Temples.

Sam Cannavo started with the company in 1976 as a 17 year old and has over 35 years service. He originally started as a chicken catcher before becoming a driver carting poultry feed to the farms. Sam knows every farm inside and out and is regularly called upon for his experience by others in the company.

Alan Pieri commenced work with Temples in 1980 and has well over 30 years service with the company. Joe Pieri (Alan’s father) worked as a chicken catcher in the early 60’s and managed to clock up 32 years service before he retired. As a young man Alan was a motor mechanic with 3 children and was paying off the mortgage when his dad mentioned that he earned in 3 days what took Alan a week to earn as a tradesman. Alan joined Temples shortly after as a catcher. When it was discovered he had a truck drivers licence he was asked to fill in as a temporary driver for a few weeks. Alan jokes, ‘I’m still waiting to see if a permanent driver turns up and I have to go back to catching!’ The family tradition has continued and Alan’s younger brother Ralph joined and has over 15 years service already.

Daryl Daley started as a chicken catcher in 1984 just over 30 years ago and progressed through the company to become a driver. Darryl remembers driving a lot of different vehicles over the years and like many of our longer-term staff, has a depth of knowledge of our business that can only be acquired with time in the job.
